Transportation

 

Highways 1 and 9 link La Paz to tourist destinations San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.

 

The main bus terminal is located on the Malecon near Cinco de Mayo.

 

Normally, the best airfare to southern Baja is to the airport in San Jose del Cabo. A shuttle operates between the bus terminal in La Paz to the airport in San Jose daily. 

 

There is ferry service to Mazatlan and Topolobampo from La Paz (Pichilinque). One can catch the train through the Copper Canyon by taking the ferry to Topolobampo.

 

General Marquez de Leon Airport is located 15 minutes from downtown La Paz.
